What to see

What to see
Carballo offers visitors many attractions. The exquisite beauty of the natural setting is perfectly complemented by a rich artistic heritage. The historical legacy that has reached us includes castros (Celtic fortifications), megaliths, palaces and stately homes, as well as many examples of religious architecture.

The popular architecture of Carballo also deserves attention. The marked personality of the Bergantiños county is particularly evident in the rural areas of Carballo, where houses, crucifixes, fountains and mills form part of a memorable landscape.
